With the loss of the rail link from Fraserburgh during the Beeching cuts in the Sixties
road transport was a lifeline, especially for meat and fish.
GIBB’S TRANSPORT was a major haulage business with
a hundred years’ experience until fuel costs caused them to withdraw from the scene in 2003.
Fraserburgh Heritage Centre is proud to portray their history and display models
of the container trucks which served the community throughout the U.K. and further afield.
This display now continues the story up until 2009.
